Day 1:Arrive to Ho Chi Minh City
Saigon arrival. Today is free for you to unwind and explore the city. Meals are on your own and overnight in Saigon.
Day 2: Ho Chi Minh City – Cu Chi Tunnel (B, L)
In the morning, you will take a city tour around Saigon to visit Notre Dame Cathedral, the historic Central Post Office, the Reunification Palace and the remarkable site of the War Remnants Museum. After lunch, you continue to get on our transfer vehicle to Cu Chi Tunnel, 60km from Saigon. The historical site features 200km of tunnels and functioned as underground cities during the war. Spend 1 hour exploring before enjoying tea and cassava (guerrilla’s food during the war). Back to Saigon. Dinner on your own and overnight in Saigon.
Day 3: Ho Chi Minh City – Ben Tre – Can Tho (B, L)
Take a 2.5-hour drive to Ben Tre where you will get on a small boat to visit some typical workplaces such as small brickwork atelier, a coconut processing workshop and a local mat-weaving house. After lunch, relax on a sampan riding along the picturesque canals. Drive to Can Tho. Dinner on your own and overnight in Can Tho.
Day 4: Can Tho – Cai Rang Floating Market – Ho Chi Minh City (B, L)
This early morning, board on a motor-boat to cruise around Cai Rang floating market. Walk leisurely and greet locals there. Your next destination is the renowned Binh Thuy ancient house which is the site for the film ‘The Lover’. Back to Saigon in the afternoon. Lunch included. Dinner is on your own and overnight in Saigon.
Day 5: Ho Chi Minh City Flight to Danang – Transfer to Hoian (B)
This morning, you are free until transfer time to Tan Son Nhat airport for your flight to Danang. Upon arrival, pick up and transfer to your hotel in Hoian. Meals are on your own. Overnight in Hoian.
Day 6: Hoian – My Son – Hoian (B, L)
In the morning, visit My Son – the most important Cham archaeological site in the center of Vietnam. Back to Hoi An, enjoy lunch at the local restaurant. In the afternoon, join a walking tour to visit Hoian’s highlights. Dinner is on your own. Overnight in Hoian.
Day 7: Hoian – Hue (B, L)
This morning, our drive will transfer you to Hue where you will have a great city tour to the Imperial City, the Forbidden Purple City and the Emperor’s Personal Residence. After lunch, the journey continues with visits to Thien Mu Pagoda, the symbol of Hue and Tu Duc Tomb. Return to your hotel. Dinner is on your own and overnight in Hue.
Day 8: Hue – DMZ – Hue (B, L)
Today, you will visit the DMZ, Quang Tri Citadel, Hien Luong Bridge and the Seventeenth Parallel the former borderline between the North and South Vietnam during Vietnam War. The journey continues with visit to Vinh Moc Tunnels which had been used to shelter folks from the extreme bombings during the War and Con Tien Firebase. Return to Hue for dinner on your own. Overnight in Hue.
Day 9: Hue Departure (B)
Free until transfer to the airport for your departure flight. Trip ends.
